CORAL GABLES FIRE HOUSE NO. 4
The project includes new construction for Coral Gables Fire House No. 4 is 2-bay, 2-story with mezzanine, 8-dormitory facility of approximately 12,000 GSF. The building includes modified bituminous flat membrane roofing over a concrete structural roof deck and concrete structural frame. The exterior closure consists of stucco and stone panels with concrete masonry units as backup materials. Exterior doors, windows, stucco soffits, and metal louvers complete the exterior. Interior construction includes elements such as masonry walls, metal stud/gypsum board walls, doors, interior finishes, interior specialty items, cabinets, and a three-stop passenger elevator. Plumbing, HVAC, fire suppression systems, and electrical systems are also included. The associated sitework and site utilities are provided as well. In addition, the project includes the development of a neighborhood park with play structure, benches, and water fountain. The facility has been designed to achieve a LEED Silver Certification.
